Hawaii Certification

Hawaii Minority Supplier Certification and its parent non-profit, the Northern California Minority Supplier Development Council (NCMSDC), promote minority participation in the procurement process to create economic wealth in minority business communities in Hawaii, Northern California, and the nation.  Our Hawaii regional chapter provides the only nationally-recognized Ethnic Minority Business Certification in Hawaii and connects local certified Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBEs) with NCMSDC Corporate Members, including many of America’s largest publicly-owned, privately-owned, and foreign-owned companies, as well as universities, hospitals, and other buying institutions.

Hawaii Minority Supplier Certification has hosted a variety of local business events in conjunction with Corporate Members interested in doing business with Hawaii MBEs and in helping local businesses increase their capacity.  Past guests include: Kaiser Permanente; Johnson Controls, Inc.; Robert Half International; The Walt Disney Company; and Wyndham Worldwide.  In addition, we have been featured in local news outlets like The Star Bulletin (now Honolulu Star Advertiser) and Pacific Business News, and have also formed Strategic Alliance Partnerships with a diverse range of local organizations, including the Honolulu Minority Business Enterprise Center (HMBEC), the Native Hawaiian Chamber of Commerce, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, SBA Hawaii, SCORE of Hawaii, and the State of Hawaii Dept of Transportation Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE) Program.
